水封是一种用纯橡胶制作的轴向唇型密封圈,它常用于冶金机械轧辊轴头部的轴向端面密封,水封依靠其本体对轴颈的抱紧张力使其固定在旋转轴的轴颈上,同时利用其唇部的曲绕性能和其对密封的紧迫力构成的密封副,从而防止水和杂质在轧辊运转过程中进入轧辊旋转润滑密封体,以达到保护轧辊旋转轴润滑密封装置正常工作的要求。水封利用它在旋转过程当中存在于外部的冷却水的流体离心力,将冷却水中的杂质和尘埃阻挡在密封腔体之外,同时防止密封腔体内部的油脂外漏。
优点:
1.不含金属件的纯橡胶弹性体材料;2.减轻了设计方面的工作,没有安装加工方面的要求;
3.取消了轴配合表面加工和表面精度、硬度的要求,轴表面不必淬硬;
4.安装及拆卸简单、便捷;
5.表面接触压力小,因此磨擦力小,磨擦损失及磨擦发热少,使用寿命长;
6.兼有密封和防尘作用。
水封安装:
水封安装不需设计安装倒角。V形水封为弹性体,可以被拉伸后推置于其它工件上,V形环大可拉长20%,因此易安装。在许多情况下,V形水封可以用一种简单的工具来安装,可转动轴并用无刀锋的工具推动或对中V形水封,到达正确的安装位置。
如果更换V形水封涉及到拆除几个其它工件的耗时作业,可以将V形水封切割成两个部分,放置于适当的位置后,再用粘结材料和工具将两部分连接起来,注意连接处不可拉伸。

Water seal installation does not need to design installation chamfers. The V-shaped water seal is an elastic body, which can be stretched and pushed onto other parts. The V-shaped ring can be stretched by 20%, so it is very easy to install.
In many cases, the V-shaped water seal can be installed with a simple tool, the shaft can be turned and a tool without a blade can be used to push or center the V-shaped water seal to the correct installation position.
If the replacement of the V-shaped water seal involves the time-consuming work of removing several other parts, the V-shaped water seal can be cut into two parts, placed in the appropriate position, and then connected with adhesive materials and tools. Be careful not to stretch the joints.
